The Persistence of Falling Off His Penny-Farthing. Silkscreen series on wood paper (oak, maple, walnut), 2012-2013. Photos by Marlen James. Series explores unregistered patterning and colour combinations, inspired by the penny farthing at the Scarborough Museum.
The Persistence of Gender Trouble. Silkscreen Series, on oak paper, 2014. Photos by Marlen James. Continuation of unregistered patterning, and gender performance in sport, inspired by Mexican-American boxer Marlen Esparza.
Moody Nudes. Silkscreen, Lithography and chine colle. 2015. Series uses mood ring colours mixed with life-model poses to explore the ways in which femme-identified bodies are encoded.
Incarnations and Offshoots series. Relief, drawing, pen and ink. 2017. Series inspired by residency in Portugal, thinking about the symbol of carnations as well as researching contemporary feminist Portuguese artists.
Libraries of Failure. Bookworks, 2010 (ongoing). Part of a continuous practice of reinventing failed or ‘bad’ prints into miniature hard cover books. Below are the books of failure that have become installations.
Stock Prints. 2018. A series of 5 large monoprints with 5 smaller companion pieces that reconsiders and reconfigures the last ten years of stencils and plates I have developed.
ShadowBoxers. 2021. A revisit of the Persistence of Gender Trouble, on wood panels and offset frames.
Commissions, Collaborations, and Miscellanous Prints. 2012-present.

Calling all writers, hobbyists, and artists alike! Interested in learning some basic bookbinding methods to put together your poetry or loose drawings? Would you like to make your own sketchbook or journal? This class serves as a gateway to bookbinding and introduces you to three basic methods in which you can make a simple but effective book. Focusing on soft covers, we'll cover zine folds, pamphlet stitches and stab bindings, with participants going home with at least 3 new books to fill. These skills are easily replicated at home, and will set you up to learn more complicated bindings (because you're gonna fall in love with bookbinding!)
All materials provided. Suitable for older teens and adults.

In this workshop, participants will get a gentle introduction into the magic that is relief printmaking! The artist will share her ideas from her own practice in repetitive motifs and collaging within print, demonstrating carving and printing skills that are easy to replicate in a home studio. Participants will learn about tools and materials, as well image transfer, registration and printing techniques using soft-lino. Themed around Spring, participants will be encouraged to create a modular composition while experimenting with various decorative papers in a simple, not-quite-chine-colle trick of the artist’s trade! .

inPrint artist Maureen Da Silva has long cultivated a practice of turning her failed works on paper into adorable and miniature hard-cover books, developing various mini-libraries to go alongside with them!
Done in German-style covers, collect any works on paper you *think* failed - whether a drawing, a print, or even maybe some writing! - and give it a new life as an abstracted miniature book. We'll supply paper for text blocks even if you don't have a failure at hand. Books can be left as is OR turned into a necklace or hanging ornament at participants' desire.
No bookbinding experience required, feel free to fail at making these books too, there's no judgement here as you are learning!!
Bookbinding tools and materials supplied, just BYOF (Bring Your Own Failures)!
